Bellatrix Lestrange's first wand was bought in 1983, and made sometime before. Bellatrix was later disarmed by Harry, making him the new owner.

Description

The wand is long and dark gray. It is slightly bent, which most likely makes casting spells difficult.

History

Use at Hogwarts

This wand was not used much at Hogwarts, because the Battle of Hogwarts took place after she obtained new wand. She did, however, set Hagrid's hut on fire.

Behind the Scenes

During the filming of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Helena Bonham Carter accidentally punctured Matthew Lewis's eardrum when she stuck her wand in his ear during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries scene, in which Bellatrix threatens Neville Longbottom.
